Colleen Chenail is the chair of the string faculty at the Music Academy of North Carolina, where she has taught since 2001. She received her Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and her Bachelor of Music in Music Performance and Education from Ithaca College. Colleen is an active freelance artist who performs throughout North Carolina and Virginia. She currently performs with the Greensboro Symphony and currently is the concertmaster of the Danville Symphony Orchestra. Colleen is Suzuki certified in books one through six and has taught private and group lessons to preschool through college students at all levels. In addition, Colleen is a North Carolina certified teacher with experience teaching chorus, general music and orchestra.
